Discovery Days (DD)- Day 3: Gem Panning

Uncover the treasures of the earth on Day 3 of our workshop series! This hands-on session introduces participants to the fascinating worlds of geology and mineralogy. Attendees will learn how different gemstones form deep within the earth and how miners throughout history used specialized techniques to find them. After the educational briefing, participants will grab their panning sifting screens to wash away sediment and uncover a variety of authentic raw gemstones, crystals, and minerals to classify and take home.
