There’s a clown hidden inside each of us, often tucked beneath our intellect, polish, and everyday habits. Guided by experienced theatremakers Sagar Bhoir and Shreeram Chaudhari, this workshop invites you to uncover that hidden self and bring your unique Theatre Clown to life. Through playful vulnerability, bold risk-taking, and boundless improvisation, you’ll explore a form of artistry that is honest, fearless, and deeply human.

Your journey begins with ‘the birth’ of your clown – reimagining what it means to be funny without words, and transforming mistakes into moments of brilliance. Once awakened, your clown will step into their own world – its rhythms, rules, and delightful chaos – making bold, intentional choices with confidence and joy.

Rooted in the tradition of clowning, the process unlocks creativity through movement, voice, and imagination. You’ll be encouraged to play spontaneously with your audience, the space, and even everyday objects. Along the way, you'll build emotional awareness, stage presence, and collaborative instincts – skills that resonate far beyond the stage.

Led by Sagar Bhoir, known for his accessible, engaging work across Marathi and Hindi theatre, and Shreeram Chaudhari, an Inlaks Theatre Award recipient celebrated for blending disciplined craft with playful spontaneity, this workshop draws on over 28 years of combined experience using theatre to spark creativity, empathy, and connection.

Open to all levels and ages, the experience culminates in crafting your own handcrafted red nose – the beating heart of your clown – and leaving with a renewed sense of play, presence, and creative instinct.
