About this Event
Ever wonder why your colleague thrives on spreadsheets while you dream in sticky notes? Or why some people seem to really enjoy those weekly team meetings but you’re counting the moments until you can actually get some work done? In the world of Public Relations, knowing your audience is key—but knowing yourself and your team? That’s your superpower. Join us for an interactive, personality-packed session where we’ll use the DiSC model to explore how your unique personality and communication style shapes your leadership approach and team dynamics.
Whether you're a commanding D, a charismatic I, a supportive S, or a detail-loving C, you'll leave with:
- A clearer sense of your personal leadership strengths
- Strategies to flex your style for better collaboration with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
- Insights into building teams that are more productive and more fun — even under deadline pressure
Lunch is included. Incoming 2025-26 chapter board members also will be installed.
The session is being led by FPRA State President Lindsay Hudock, APR,CPRC. She is a principal in Well Said Public Relations, LLC, and an advertising and public relations senior instructor in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media at UCF where she serves as program coordinator for the Advertising and Public Relations degree. As a consultant she focuses on communication and leadership training, team building, branding initiatives and community relations for organizations all over the country. Well Said PR offers a leadership training program called SIMSOC, short for simulated society and DiSC personality profiling and related training. As an instructor, Hudock teaches a variety of public relations courses and serves as a faculty adviser for various student groups, all with a focus on helping students bridge the gap between the academic and professional world.
