A little bit about Alastair
Professor Alastair Fitter is President of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. An ecologist and naturalist, he retired from the University of York in 2012, where he is Professor Emeritus of Ecology. Alastair was awarded a CBE in 2007 for services to environmental science and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2005. He has been a member of the YWT for over 50 years and has had a long involvement with its founding reserve, Askham Bog.

Joining us on the day
The talk will take place inside the clubhouse. Staff will welcome you on arrival and direct you to your seats. Included within your ticket is a vegetarian buffet along with tea and coffee. If you wish to buy an alternative drink the bar will be open (alternative drinks not included in ticket).
There are toilets onsite inside the clubhouse.

Parking
There is a car park available at the golf club. Please note that there is a function on earlier in the day so you may need to park in the overflow car park.

In the situation that Yorkshire Wildlife Trust needs to cancel an event we will be in touch regarding your booking via email and our Supporter Services team will process the refund of your tickets as soon as possible. Please allow up to 5 working days for this to happen. If you, or members of your party, are unable to attend your booked event, you are eligible for a refund up to 7 days before the event date.
