Finding the right middle school in San Francisco is a big decision. We invite you to explore our campus and see firsthand how meaningful learning meets a truly nurturing community.
At Children’s Day School, we offer a unique competency-based curriculum for middle schoolers in SF that is deeply rooted in SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) and social justice. During this tour, you will discover how we:
🧠Build durable skills: We prepare students for an unpredictable future by teaching middle schoolers to communicate with purpose, use data strategically, and collaborate generously.
💡Drive intrinsic motivation: We use comprehensive competency-based reviews rather than traditional letter grades to foster a genuine love of learning.
🌱Nurture growth: Challenging academics paired with authentic social-emotional learning, because we believe that what you learn and who you become are equally important.
🌍Empower changemakers: Our civic-minded education is grounded in real-world impact, giving students a voice and the ability to take purposeful action for the collective good.
CDS is a diverse, inclusive community with a robust sliding scale tuition program. We are proud to be a welcoming middle school where every student belongs. We can't wait to show you around!
