Discover Catholic Schools Week: Open Shadow Day at St. Victor School

Choosing the right school starts with helping your child feel at home. During Discover Catholic Schools Week, St. Victor School invites prospective students to spend a day as a Charger—joining classes, making friends, and discovering the joy of learning in a faith-filled community.

This special Open Shadow Day lets students experience life at St. Victor School alongside their future classmates. They’ll take part in lessons, meet our teachers, and enjoy all the excitement that comes with being part of our welcoming community.

To personalize each visit, RSVP is required. Please choose one ticket per student from the options below.

Ticket Types:

• Preschool Shadow (8:30–10:00 AM or 10:30 AM–12:00 PM) – Families may select one 90-minute session. During either visit, children will experience Circle Time (when class instruction occurs), individual work, reading, indoor and outdoor play — giving them a true taste of classroom learning and friendship-building. A parent or guardian must remain in the classroom for the entire preschool shadow experience.
• Half-Day Shadow (8:30 AM–12:00 PM) – You can drop your student off between 8:00–8:30 AM at the front office; pick-up 12:00–12:30 PM at the front office.
• Full-Day Shadow (8:30 AM–2:30 PM) – You can drop your student off between student drop-off 8:00–8:30 AM at the front office; pick-up 2:30–3:00 PM at the front office. Lunch is not provided; full-day students should bring a packed lunch from home.Grades 1+ participate in Friday electives after lunch.

Optional: Families are welcome to stay for our ! It’s a relaxed, family-friendly gathering where children can play and parents can connect—no RSVP required for the playdate.

Info: Families may arrive anytime between 8:00 and 8:30 AM to check in at the front office. Our staff will greet you, confirm your child’s placement, and personally escort them to their classroom. Once inside, each visiting student will be paired with a classroom buddy to help them feel at home.

Info: Students join their host class for the morning, participating in lessons, hands-on activities, and classroom routines—getting a real feel for what it means to be a Charger.

Info: Families are asked to pick up between 12:00 and 12:30 PM at the front office. Our staff will reunite you with your child and can answer any quick questions about their morning experience.

Info: Families may arrive anytime between 8:00 and 8:30 AM to check in at the front office. Our staff will greet you, confirm your child’s placement, and personally escort them to their classroom. Once inside, each visiting student will be paired with a classroom buddy to help them feel at home.

Info: Students participate in morning lessons, hands-on learning, and class activities alongside their St. Victor peers. It’s a great opportunity to experience our welcoming classrooms and dedicated teachers in action.

Info: Students staying for the full day should bring a packed lunch from home. They’ll eat with their classroom buddy and classmates, enjoying a typical school lunchtime routine filled with conversation and connection.

Info: After lunch, students return to class for the afternoon’s lessons and—starting in 1st grade—take part in Friday electives, where Chargers explore unique interests like art, sports, creative writing, and more.

Info: Families may pick up at 2:30 PM from the front office. Staff will bring your child out to meet you and share a quick recap of their day at St. Victor School.

Info: Enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly way to connect, unwind, and continue the fun after the school day ends!

Info: Join us for Circle Time at 8:30 AM, when our teachers deliver the preschool curriculum through songs, stories, and interactive lessons. During this 90-minute visit, families will see class instruction, individual work time, indoor play, outdoor play, and individual reading time.

Info: Prefer a later visit? Join us for Circle Time at 10:30 AM, where your child can experience the core preschool curriculum in action. This 90-minute session also includes opportunities to observe class instruction, independent work, play-based learning indoors and outdoors, and individual reading.
