Disconnect to Reconnect is a restorative, equine-assisted workshop designed for people who feel stretched thin, overwhelmed, or simply disconnected in today’s fast-paced world.Held in a calm, natural setting, this experience invites participants to step away from daily demands and slow down alongside horses.
Through gentle, guided, ground-based interactions, participants practice grounding and mindfulness techniques that support nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and authentic connection. Horses offer immediate, nonjudgmental feedback, helping participants notice stress patterns, boundaries, and presence in a way that feels natural and deeply human.
This workshop is led by Anne Ateeka Contee, LCPC, a licensed mental health therapist with extensive training in trauma-informed, somatic, and nature-based therapeutic approaches. Anne’s facilitation style is steady, supportive, and accessible. There is no pressure to share, perform, or “fix” anything. No prior horse experience is needed, and there is no riding. The workshop takes place with your equine partner by your side.
Hosted by Naples Therapeutic Riding Center (NTRC), a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center, the workshop takes place in a professionally managed environment grounded in best practices, safety, and equine welfare.
Participants often leave feeling calmer, more centered, and better equipped with practical tools they can use in everyday life.
This workshop is well suited for anyone experiencing stress, burnout, life transitions, relational challenges, or anyone simply needing time to pause, breathe, and reset.
Registration Fee: $250.00 per person (includes the workshop, take home materials, and refreshments).
