Chicago - the same city that gave rise to Soul Train, Muddy Waters, blues and the boogie woogie is also the home to Disco Demolition Night - an infamous moment in American musical history, attributed with the day disco died, that took place in July 1979 at Comiskey Park.

Of course, it never died, did it? And that is a cause worth celebrating.

Featuring special headliner DJ Lady D, who will be coming in hot after closing out the first night of West Fest, DISCO LIVES is a celebration of the singular style, vibrant scene and lasting influence of disco music here in Chicago and around the world. Alongside DJ Lady D, we have a lineup of performers who will keep your heads spinning, including drag queens, musicians and dancers.

This is a ticketed event, and it ain't no costume party, this is a dress the part party - wear 'em high and tight, put the platforms on, show some skin, put a wig on it, and whatever you do - come ready to be the disco star you are.
