Dust off your bell-bottoms, polish those dancing shoes, and get ready for a night of glitter, groove, and Argentine Tango!
Join us for Disco Fever: Do the Tango!, a special themed milonga where the elegance of Argentine Tango meets the fun and energy of the disco era. We'll transform Paradise Tango into a sparkling 1970s dance club complete with shimmering silver curtains, a giant disco ball, colorful lights, classic disco refreshments, and dancers dressed in their grooviest attire.
Whether you're a seasoned tanguero or stepping onto the dance floor for the very first time, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy an evening filled with music, laughter, great company, and plenty of dancing.
🪩 Evening Schedule
7:30–8:00 PM – Welcome Social with Your Favorite 70s Refreshments
Kick off the evening with nostalgic disco-era treats and mingle with fellow dancers while enjoying favorites including our famous Cheese Hedgehog, Boogie Punch, Pigs in a Blanket, Ants on a Log, grape jelly meatballs, and other retro-inspired snacks.
8:00–8:30 PM – Tango Lesson for Total Beginners
Never danced Argentine Tango before? Perfect! Our welcoming beginner lesson will introduce the fundamentals in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
7:30–10:30 PM – Social Dance Party
Dance the night away beneath a sparkling disco ball to beautiful traditional tango music while surrounded by dazzling disco décor.
Traditional milonga music and social dancing begin at 7:30 PM and continue throughout the evening. Refreshments and the beginner lesson overlap seamlessly with the dance floor, allowing new and experienced dancers to mingle, dance, and share the evening together.
Throughout the night, Jenny will be teaching short Hustle lessons, giving everyone a chance to add a little extra disco flair between tandas!

👗 Attire
Keep it groovy!
Dress in your grooviest 70s threads—bell-bottoms, sequins, polyester, platform shoes, funky prints, jumpsuits, vintage dresses, big collars, and anything that makes you feel ready to hit the disco floor.
Costumes aren't required, but they're definitely encouraged!

SHOES
Slippery shoes and shoes that stay on your feet well are the best. Avoid sneakers with rubber soles, heavy boots, platform heels, and slippers/sandals/heels without backs and pumps that may slip off the back of your heel if you go up on your toes.
PARKING
Parking is free for the first hour and $3 per hour after (you can get street parking on King Street if you're lucky, but it's only free after 6 PM and on Sundays).
The parking entrance is on University Avenue. You now go up the ramp to the 2nd floor right after Ninjia Market. Or enter the 1st floor parking immediately after the Coyne St. light and Betty's Burgers. Either way you can get up to the 2nd floor!
After you get your ticket, turn right and head toward that exit (it looks like a cave). As you go under the overhang, look to your right and you'll see a ramp up to the second level. Park there.
The entrance to the studio is right next to the handicapped parking spaces. Head through that door, turn right, and go through the glass doors. The event is in The Parlor with the double glass doors.
