DEACON MIKE HOUGHTON
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF UNLEASH THE GOSPEL AT WORK
Deacon Mike Houghton was ordained a Catholic deacon in October of 2012 and serves at St. John Vianney in Shelby Township, Michigan. He and his wife Anita have three adult children who are their pride and joy. An Industrial Engineer, Deacon Mike worked for General Motors for 35 years before assuming the position of Director of Missionary Strategic Plans for the Archdiocese of Detroit. He has completed several advanced degrees and has published articles for Homiletic and Pastoral Review. In July of 2023, Deacon Mike assumed the role of Executive Director of UTG at Work.
MARY MARTIN
DIRECTOR OF UNLEASH THE GOSPEL AT WORK
After 20 years in pastoral planning and organizational leadership, Mary has joined the new apostolate, UTG at Work, equipping disciples to share the Gospel in their workplaces. A certified Spiritual Director, Mary sits on the boards of local organizations and coordinates the Called and Gifted process helping disciples discern their spiritual gifts. Mary holds a master’s degree in Pastoral Studies, (MAPS) from Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. Enjoying all the seasons of Michigan, this mother of two adult children (and gramma of five), spends time traveling, cooking and transforming sacred spaces.
