As we begin our next Bible study journey together I believe it is important that we remember Jesus’ words from John 5:39, ”You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of me.” We must remember that the reason we study scripture is not to learn facts found in the Bible. We study scripture to find Jesus and to get to know Him better. This is particularly important as we begin our study on Discipleship. Our goal is not to learn techniques to make us more effective in our ministry. Our goal is to draw closer to Jesus, to learn at His feet, so that the Holy Spirit can fill us and make us productive citizens of His holy kingdom.
It is my hope that you will join us either in-person at our Friday evening study at the church, or virtually, as you watch the recorded study on Facebook or Youtube. I would encourage you to to take advantage of this study to draw closer to Jesus, to build up your relationship with Him and let Him make you the disciple He wants you to be.
We will meet in person in the Fellowship Hall at Chapel West SDA church each Friday at 6:15 PM. We will have a light meal before the study starting at 5:45 PM, so come early if you can. The Bible study will be recorded and available to watch on Facebook and Youtube the following day.
