Disability Pride Month outings are open to all, including people with little or no experience with birding. Please note that these outings are especially designed for people with disabilities, with a particular focus on those who face mobility challenges. They are being jointly provided by OFO, Toronto Ornithologists Club (TOC) and Accessibirdies Toronto in an effort to make birding more accessible to people with disabilities. These outings are open to non-members and registration is free.
Both locations for these outings feature flat, paved trails, with benches for stops along the way, making them more suitable for people who may have mobility concerns. The outings will last 2 hours or so, the pace will be slow and leisurely and there will be rest stops. The number of participants will be limited, though participants may bring a support person.
