About this Event
Join Equal Futures for an in-person session exploring disability inclusion and accessibility at work, with guest speaker Toby Mildon, Diversity and Inclusion Architect and founder of Mildon.
This session will look at how organisations can become more accessible, inclusive and confident in supporting disabled colleagues and candidates — moving beyond good intentions towards practical, meaningful action.
Toby’s work focuses on helping organisations build inclusive cultures, re-engineer processes and systems to minimise the impact of bias, and improve the employee experience for disabled people. His report, Disability Inclusion and Accessibility: Making Your Organisation More Accessible and Disability-Inclusive, explores improvements employers can make across the employee lifecycle, including talent attraction, recruitment and onboarding, retention and development, line manager confidence and workplace adjustments.
Toby brings both professional expertise and lived experience of disability. He is the author of Inclusive Growth, previously worked as an in-house diversity and inclusion manager at the BBC and Deloitte, and chaired BBC Ability, the disabled staff employee resource group representing disabled staff and those living with long-term health conditions.
This session will create space for business leaders, HR professionals, people managers and inclusion leads to consider what disability inclusion looks like in everyday workplace practice — from recruitment and accessibility through to management confidence, workplace culture and adjustments.
