UPDATED 4/18/24:
We found a sweet site, the pyramid pictured above (https://maps.app.goo.gl/SVaudyj3zTLEiDf98). There's a fire ring, firewood, benches and flat ground for tent camping Friday and Saturday night. More importantly, the trails here are excellent. This event is a decentralized, every person for themselves, free gathering of stoke-minded individuals. Respect the other people who will be out there and be responsible for yourself.

**Meet-ups at the Gold Country Equestrian Trailhead (P) (https://maps.app.goo.gl/WKjPFQAYYg1YNYVp9), to lead people to the campsite (C).
Note that there is no cell service at the campsite, but there is good service close by and by the road near GCE Trailhead. If you have an FRS walkie-talkie, bring it along and set it to channel 20. Otherwise, we will only be able to guarantee that we'll be able to receive and respond to messages at the times listed above. You can use the coordinates of the campsite to try to navigate there on your own outside of those times, but the Pyramid is kind of hidden off the beaten path, and that's a good thing. I'll leave a clipboard on a tree or on the windshield of my grey Jeep Grand Cherokee with notes at the GCE Parking Lot (P), since you won't be able to reach us at the campsite or on the trails, but the best thing to do is meet at one of the designated times above.
** Dispersed Camping Information **
Motorized vehicles cannot pull off farther than 12 feet from a motorized route or trail to park. We have a fire permit and will bring a water bucket and shovel. More information here:

It may become an annual thing. Date and location subject to change depending on weather conditions. There's an Earth Day event happening down the hill in downtown Nevada City, so we'll probably enjoy that at a minimum if it's too wet to camp.
More detailed event information and maps can be found in the discussion section.
