About this Event

Join Florida Humanities Executive Director Nashid Madyun and author Bob Kealing for a discussion on "Good Day Sunshine State: How the Beatles Rocked Florida" (University Press of Florida and Florida Humanities, March 2023). Paired with performances by musician and singer-songwriter J.J. Pattishall, we will explore the musical and cultural impact of the Beatles in Florida, an important part of the revolution that helped make the Fab Four a worldwide phenomenon. This event will also include a tour of the Jack Kerouac house.

Kealing is a retired broadcast journalist based in Orlando. During his 30-year career, he received six Emmy awards and was a two-time recipient of the Edward R. Murrow award.
