Directions in Music Making by Asian American (+1 Canadian) Improvisers V

Chris Trinidad and Francis Wong in collaboration with South San Francisco’s Sky Cafe presents Directions in Music Making by Asian American (and one Canadian!) Improvisers V, an Asian American brunch concert series on four consecutive Saturdays from 12.00 noon to 2.30 pm in September 2024. The series will feature Chris and Francis in collaboration with various musicians.

September 7: The Sky Unit Meets Du Uy (Francis Wong, Chris Trinidad, Carrie Jahde) featuring Danny Cao.

September 14: Vernaculars: Roots and Beyond featuring guitarist Karl Evangelista, saxophonist Francis Wong, bassist Chris Trinidad, percussionist Jimmy Biala.

September 21: The Zen of Glenn: Glenn Horiuchi Legacy Project with The Sky Unit (Francis Wong, Chris Trinidad, Carrie Jahde) featuring flutist and pianist Erika Oba and vocalist Helen Palma.

September 28: Chants and Psalms for Peace with The Sky Unit featuring saxophonist Francis Wong, bass guitarist Chris Trinidad, and drummer Carrie Jahde.

All performances will be at the Sky Cafe, 223 Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, CA 94080. No cover charge and easy parking!
