Directions for Immigrants is turning 20!

It is the year 2004, we are sending out resumes by fax and checking the classified section in the newspaper to look for work, it is also when Directions for Immigrants opened its doors. Bow Valley College was excited to have been awarded the contract from the Government of Alberta to deliver career services for internationally educated immigrants and our office opened with five staff.

Fast forward to 2024 and we now have LinkedIn, A.I., ATS, twelve staff and over 25 facilitators. Since 2004, Directions for Immigrants has assisted over 20,000 immigrant professionals navigate their job search and accreditation process. Our clients have amazing success stories to share, they are leaders in their professions filling critical labour market needs and add to the beautiful diversity of our province.

There will be speeches, but we also want to have fun with music, friends and food. This event will bring together current and former clients, funders, community partners, employers, colleagues and friends. Join us on November 14 to celebrate!
