Dinner with Strangers Long Beach: Duos Edition

Hey, Long Beach!

When was the last time you did something completely spontaneous? Our series groups together complete strangers for a fun night out. That's right, you sign up, and we book the restaurant through Opentable or Resy. We know life can get busy. Don't forget to spend time making new friends! Our goal is to host meetups in 100 major cities to combat loneliness while supporting locally owned businesses.

The Duos edition is to connect two people for an evening out. You'll be matched with someone of the same gender. We will vet registrants beforehand as safety is priority to us.

How does it work?

-After you register, you'll be emailed an introduction message including a quick questionnaire regarding age, dietary restrictions, hobbies, and interests that we use to select restaurants for the night.

-Attending one dinner puts you in our database to be invited to bigger mixers we put on in your city.

*Your registration does not include your individual food and drink purchases. Paying a ticket commits you to actually showing up.

*These outings are intended to help people make friends. These are not singles gatherings.

*The pin on the map IS NOT the location of dinner. This is a default location Eventbrite gives for your city. Location is decided upon by the questionnaire you receive.

*If you sign up close to the start time of the meetup and don't receive a message from us in time, simply consider another day or request a refund. Be mindful that we coordinate dinners at high volumes in various cities, so we simply may not get to you in time if you register very close to start time.

Our vision is simple: we take the no gimmicks approach to networking. No need for yet another app to take up space on your phone - just four walls and a roof and good food for people to connect :) We coordinate with you directly, human-to-human.
