Dinner in a Cave with Springfield Community Gardens

Crystal Cave, located in Springfield Missouri is the second oldest ‘Show Cave’ in the state, opening in 1893! Join us for a Show Me Local Dinner Underground at a perfect 68 degrees in July. Dinner will feature a menu curated by Chef Rachael West (Eating the Ozarks) from local farms you love, wild edibles in season and live music! 100% of the proceeds will go to Springfield Community Gardens non-profit!

Once you arrive you'll enjoy a guided 30 minute cave tour to explore the amazing formations Crystal Cave has to offer.

Oyster Mushroom Pate (Root 54 Mushrooms)

Whipped Butter with Local Herbs (Midtown Garden)

Pickled Quail Eggs (La Reina Farm) in Blue Spruce Vinegar (Eating the Ozarks)

Local Cheese Board (Terrell Creek Farm)

Ferments (Crunchy Cultures)

Salad (Box Turtle Farm), Black Walnuts (Hammons) with Elderberry Good Stuff (Eating the Ozarks)

Lions Mane Crab Cakes (Root 54 Mushrooms) with Wild Garlic Aloi

Spicebush Chicken Thighs (Eating the Ozarks)

Sauteed local veggies with (Pesto for All) + Microgreen Garnish (Blue Grass Gardens)
