Dinner Club - Getting Together at Ottawa's Tastiest Restaurants

Join us for our next dinner club gathering at Shinka Sushi Bar, one of Ottawa’s most highly regarded sushi restaurants, known for its beautifully prepared dishes and thoughtful, attentive service.

This evening is part of our ongoing dinner series that brings people together around a shared table to enjoy great restaurants and relaxed conversation. Some guests are returning regulars, others are joining for the first time — all are there for an easygoing night of food and good company.

We’ll be gathering at 8:00pm, seated together as a group, and dining à la carte.

Because sushi preparation can take time — especially when serving a larger group — we’ll ask each guest in advance to let us know the first dish they’d like to order. This allows the kitchen to prepare the initial round more smoothly so everyone can begin enjoying their meal together. After that first dish arrives, guests are welcome to continue ordering freely from the menu throughout the evening.

The goal is simply to keep the evening flowing naturally while making things easier for the kitchen.

Whether you're coming on your own or with a friend, the table is designed to feel welcoming, relaxed, and social — no networking agenda, no pressure, just good food and easy conversation.

To reserve your seat, we collect a $5 reservation hold.

This helps us confirm numbers with the restaurant and reduce last-minute no-shows. The fee is fully refundable if cancelled at least 72 hours before the event.

Guests are responsible for the cost of their own food and drinks during the dinner.

This is a shared dining experience. Some guests know each other from previous dinners, while others are joining for the first time. The atmosphere is relaxed and social, and the goal is simply to create a comfortable table where people can enjoy good food and conversation together.
