Martyn Roper, a modern tunesmith, creates a new space for songs of unrequited love, haunted wanderings and menacing adventures. Playing blues, ragtime, and folk on his 1935 resonator guitar, he channels the spirits of Robert Johnson, Tom Waits, and The Mississippi Sheiks.
