About this Event
This is a multi-course meal where participants will learn about the following topics:
- What is etiquette? How does it impact me?
- Personal presentation: attire, posture, poise, body language, confidence
- Introductions: handshake, eye contact, greetings
- Conversation: getting to know you, asking questions
- Electronic etiquette: messages, cell phones, texting, social media
- Invitations, RSVPs, thank you notes
- Dining etiquette- navigating the place setting, which utensil to use with which course, passing the bread, dislike of certain foods, etc.
Meal will include: drink, salad, bread, entree, and dessert.
This class is ideal for middle school and high school students, college students, and even families that would like to learn etiquette.
NEW FOR THIS CLASS: Families may sign up for this class. Families will sit together. Each participant needs a ticket.
Students are encouraged to dress up as if they were attending a nice restaurant, going to a party, or going to church.
The class will be taught by Nancy Boatman, a certified etiquette consultant. Mrs. Boatman teaches students of all ages and covers topics such as dining etiquette, interview preparation, and business etiquette. For more information on Mrs. Boatman, visit her website: nancyboatmanetiquette.com.
