Support Beacon and Friends Place in Bloomington
Join us on Tuesday, September 9th at 2620 South Walnut Street, Bloomington IN for a special Dine N Donate.
This event will support Beacon, a solutions-driven nonprofit dedicated to aiding and empowering people experiencing extreme poverty, especially hunger and homelessness. Since 2000, Beacon has grown to become the largest housing provider of any nonprofit in Monroe County, offering shelter, housing, hunger relief, and essential services with values of hospitality, dignity, empowerment, and hope.
Funds from this fundraiser will specifically support Friends Place, Bloomington’s only non-congregate emergency shelter for homeless adults. Friends Place provides private rooms, case management, and a safe, sober environment to help individuals and families find stability and move toward permanent housing. The shelter provides 40 beds year-round, with at least 20 reserved for women, making it a critical lifeline for adults in need throughout our community.
