Job Fair Location: Pioneer Place 700 SW 5th Ave, Suite 1053, Portland OR 97204 (Next to the center court in front of the water fountain)

CURRENT OPENINGS AND STARTING PAY RANGE:

  • Dumpling Prep - [$22.50 - $23.45/hour]
  • Line Cooks - [$22.00 - $24.44/hour]

FUTURE OPENINGS (June 2023) AND STARTING PAY RANGE:

  • Front of House Support Staff (Busser, Cashier, Greeter, Food Runner/Expo) - [$14.75/hour + Estimated Tips ($45 - $90/shift)]
  • Servers - [$14.75/hour + Estimated Tips ($90 - $168/shift)]
  • Kitchen Staff (Prep Cook, Dishwasher, Boba/Janitor) - [$20.50 - $24.44/hour]

ABOUT US:

Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or soup dumplings. Since its founding by Mr. Bing-Yi Yang in Taiwan in 1972, Din Tai Fung has become world-renowned for its quality, consistency and service.

Born in China’s Shanxi Province in 1927, Mr. Yang immigrated to Taiwan at 20 years old. There, he opened his own cooking oil retail shop, and named it Din Tai Fung. Mr. Yang and his wife, Mrs. Pen-Mei Lai Yang, dedicated half of their shop to making and selling Xiao Long Bao. The broth-filled dumplings became so popular that Mr. Yang phased out his cooking oil business and turned Din Tai Fung into the full-fledged restaurant it is today. With a menu that now includes steamed buns, house-made noodles and vegan dishes, the brand has won many awards and allocations, including a Michelin Star at its Hong Kong branch. Today, Din Tai Fung has over 170 locations in 13 countries worldwide.
