Building on the success of the inaugural edition hosted by the OECD in its Paris HQ, the Digital Trust Convention returns for its second edition—this time held at renowned AI research institute Mila in Montreal, on November 6 and 7, 2025.

The Digital Trust Convention explores how we can “upgrade” our digital environment to make it resilient against AI-automated bots, fakes and slop that distort democratic discourse, impede transparent markets and hijack human attention. Against a backdrop of authoritarian divisiveness, the Digital Trust Convention aims at a courageous, positive, even joyful digital future for shared humanity.

Specifically, the Digital Trust Convention 2025 will consider questions such as -

• How can we (re-)establish trust in people and information?What approaches, instruments and measures might be effective and sustainable?
• How can we reliably recognise real human beings in the digital space without compromising privacy?
• How can we ensure that every citizen/consumer has a fair chance to be heard and have an impact?
• What incentive structures and commercial models are needed to favour constructive, compassionate and consensus-building discourse?

The Digital Trust Convention brings together a unique combination of leading thinkers and experts from the public and private sectors and a broad range of disciplines to connect, share, learn, and engage. The two-day event is dedicated to a number of sessions in a range of formats to build a multistakeholder community and to initiate a positive transformation of our digital environment.

S'appuyant sur le succès de la première édition accueillie par l'OCDE dans son siège parisien, la Digital Trust Convention revient pour sa deuxième édition, cette fois au sein du prestigieux institut de recherche en intelligence artificielle Mila, à Montréal, les 6 et 7 novembre 2025.

La Digital Trust Convention explore comment nous pouvons « mettre à niveau » notre environnement numérique afin de le rendre résilient face aux bots automatisés par l’IA, aux contenus trompeurs et à la pollution informationnelle qui déforment le discours démocratique, entravent la transparence des marchés et détournent l’attention humaine. Sur fond de clivages autoritaires, la convention vise à promouvoir un avenir numérique courageux, positif et même harmonieux au service de l’humanité partagée.

Plus précisément, la Digital Trust Convention 2025 abordera des questions telles que :

• Comment (re)construire la confiance envers les personnes et l’information ?
• Quelles approches, instruments et mesures pourraient être efficaces et durables ?
• Comment reconnaître de manière fiable les êtres humains dans l’espace numérique sans compromettre la vie privée ?
• Comment garantir à chaque citoyen·ne/consommateur ·rice une chance équitable d’être entendu·e et d’avoir un impact ?
• Quels systèmes d’incitation et modèles économiques favorisent un discours constructif, empreint de compassion et orienté vers le consensus ?

La Digital Trust Convention réunit une combinaison unique de penseur·euse·s et d’expert·e·s de premier plan issu·e·s des secteurs public et privé, ainsi qu’un large éventail de disciplines, pour se connecter, partager, apprendre et s’engager. L'événement, organisé sur deux jours, propose une série de sessions sous divers formats afin de construire une communauté multipartite et d’initier une transformation positive de notre environnement numérique.
