Digital Transformation And Internationalization of Education

The mandate from the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to develop India as an international education hub and the internationalization of higher education is now high on the agenda. For India to emerge as a knowledge economy, building an ecosystem around education, skills, research, and innovation along with digital transformation must remain its top priority. Indian government agencies, regulatory bodies and higher education institutions are now liaising with international education providers to discuss various models of engagement to integrate internationalization in their curriculum and offerings using technology.

In the light of the recent high-level bilateral talks between India and Australia, there is a strong intent on enabling growth in education, skilling, and research alongside growth in trade through the signing of the FTA. Australia has become a natural partner to India by partnering, fostering, and driving innovation across education, skilling, research, and innovation. The key is the collaboration between the government, industry, and education providers of both countries to highlight and develop a framework of action points towards internationalization of higher education.

With this background, Deakin University, celebrating almost 3 decades of engagement in India, in association with TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, digital and business consulting services, is organizing an International Conclave to deliberate the digitization and internationalization of education by encapsulating insights and critical reflections on contemporary relevant issues spanning right across education, skilling and research that form the very essence of holistic partnerships and will also pave the way for a resilient and agile future for a successful bilateral relationship between India and Australia. The Conclave on Digital Transformation & Internationalization of Education will be held on Tuesday, 27th September 2022 at New Delhi to deliberate on the critical themes around “Digital Transformation & Internationalization of Education”, “International Collaboration in Research & Innovation” and “Skill Based Education To Enhance Global Employability”.
