DPASSH returns as a hybrid event for 2022, with the theme of Digital Preservation of Religious Collections: Conversations and Collaborations
About this Event

The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) is delighted to host DPASSH 2022, the biennial ‘Digital Preservation for the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities’ conference. This year’s conference will be on the topic of ‘Digital Preservation of Religious Collections: Conversations and Collaborations’. This combines online workshops on 27 June with a hybrid-format conference on 29 and 30 June where presenters and audiences can attend online or at the Royal Irish Academy in Dublin.

Registration for DPASSH 2022 entitles you to attend both the workshops and the conference.

DPASSH is a response to the problem of digital preservation within the arts, humanities, social sciences, and cultural heritage domains. It seeks to address the complexities of long-term digital preservation of the full variety of materials, and to encourage a long-term dialogue around the issues created by such preservation.

Programme

Please visit the DPASSH website to view the programme for both the workshops and conference.

Registration Details

The conference committee decided to put effort into organising a hybrid conference that will provide the highest-quality possible experience for both in-person and online attendees. By doing this, we hope to include everyone who would like to share in the conversations at the conference. Your registration fee helps us with the considerable cost of doing this - thank you!

Due to the capacity of the room, the number of in-person tickets is limited to 40, on a first come first served basis.

Please register for the full rate unless you belong to one of the following categories: students; on short term/precarious contracts; retired; unwaged. If you do belong to one of those categories, please select the discount code DPASSHConcession at check out for a discounted ticket. If you have any questions about the registration process, please contact Deborah Thorpe at [email protected].

DRI members are welcome to register using the discount code provided via email.

COVID-19

Though we understand current government guidelines, we ask in-person attendees to bring a mask to wear when indoors to protect each other. We offer online attendance for speakers and audience members who prefer to, or need to, participate remotely.

We will provide tea and coffee during the scheduled breaks, in the conference room. An alternative is that we welcome you to bring your reusable keep cup, and get some fresh air outside during the breaks.

DPASSH Sponsors

We are delighted that our sponsors for DPASSH 2022 are: Eneclann; the Association for Church Archives of Ireland; Nano Nagle Place; and the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland.

We would like to thank our supporters for supporting the costs involved in our move into the world of hybrid conferences. Learn more on our Sponsors page.
