About this Event
April 28 (9 am - 5 pm) and April 29 (9 am - 3 pm)
This symposium gathers an international group of scholars to take stock of the digital futures of health humanities--its pedagogies, its practices, and its publics--to envision together where we might go. Topics include humanities approaches to new health/healthcare technologies; the ethics, history, narrative and rhetorical framing of AI innovations in healthcare; digital humanities approaches to questions of health and healthcare past, present, and future; humanities pedagogical strategies for the changing landscape of healthcare; ethics and digital health, big data, or biotech; humanities training for digital innovations in the health sector; and many more.
This symposium is generously funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities and serves as the culmination of two grants awarded to Northeastern University's Health, Humanities, and Society Program to conduct research in and to build curriculum for the digital futures of health humanities.
