About this Event
May 23, 2026 | 6:00-7:30 PM | Walls Turned Sideways
Interdisciplinary, interdimensional artist, writer, ritual maker, and ordained practitioner Faylita Hicks joins Walls Turned Sideways Gallery, a nationally recognized space centering art, justice, and incarceration, for a closing reflection marking the completion of Digital Archives of the Unseen.
This gathering offers space to reflect on the exhibition’s lifespan and the stories, names, and testimonies it has held. The evening will include a brief closing ritual to intentionally seal the archive, honoring what has been witnessed while releasing the work from the gallery space.
Participants are invited to return to the installation one final time—to reflect, remember, and acknowledge how the archive has shifted their understanding of memory, technology, erasure, and care.
This closing is not an ending, but a conscious release.
