Join us for a hands-on soil workshop at the Ira Nelson Horticulture Center!

Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just getting started, this event is perfect for anyone looking to learn more about soil contamination and remediation. Our team will explain the results from our heavy metals (arsenic, lead, mercury, cadmium, etc.) survey of the soils throughout Lafayette! We will also demostrate how to properly fill a raised bed using native Louisiana herbs. Each attendant will have the oppurtunity to win the raised bed planter used during the demonstration, in addition to receiving a free bag of local compost.
