Join me on the Gargoyles, Brylcream and Riots Tour to explore Deritend in Digbeth, Birmingham. We kick off our tour at The Old Crown - the oldest pub in Birmingham! From there, we will go around this historic area, which has been mentioned as far back as 1276. As we go along, you'll get to experience first-hand its captivating history and architecture, which have survived through centuries. The tour is about 1/2 miles and takes approximately 1 1/2 hours, starting and finishing at the Old Crown pub in Digbeth. The terrain is mainly flat, but good mobility is required as we will be in an urban landscape. If you're interested in Birmingham's history and architecture, this is for you.
The tour will go ahead unless the Met Office deems the weather unsafe. Suitable clothing is recommended.
