✖︎ Dieru ✖︎Dieru is a key figure in the current electronic music scene in Baja California, both as a DJ/Producer and event promoter, with over 15 years of experience driving the scene in his region. Based on this, he has managed to expand beyond it. As a DJ, he is known for his House grooves, leaning towards many of its musical variants and subgenres. He is a musical selector who knows how to connect perfectly with his audience, adapting to any place and time, which is why he often creates the vibe that all spectators seek on the dancefloor. Today, as a dedicated producer, he has managed to establish himself on the global map and be recognized by many big names in the industry. His tracks have been played and supported by artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Apollonia, Cap, Barac, Dorian Paic, Dewalta, Cristi Cons, Sakro, among others.
It’s important to note that he has frequently reached top spots in vinyl sales on Deejay.de, even reaching the #1 position in all genres on Deejay.de, and in his early days as a producer, he also placed in the top #5 of Beatport in the minimal/tech house category.
Responsible for numerous high-quality events in Baja California, where he resides, he has organized parties in Tijuana and Ensenada with internationally renowned DJs such as Francesco Del Garda, Laurine & Cecilio, Truly Madly, Vlada, Evan Baggs, Alexandra, Dana Ruh, John Dimas, Guti, Dorian Paic, Josh Wink, Ryan Crosson, Janeret, Varhat, among others. He has been in this role as a promoter for over 9 years.
Signed to renowned labels like Muted Noise, where he released one of his most recent vinyls, sharing a compilation with Halo Varga, DeWalta, Sublee, and Faster, and other major releases on labels like Tied Chicago and Depth Over Distance, which sold out quickly.
As the owner of Honne Music, a record label and event promoter, his main goal is to showcase true local talent, bringing together a team of producers and artists with similar profiles (young, dedicated to music, passionate, and with a taste for the true underground style). He has also achieved notable results by signing and releasing records with top international artists such as Steve O’Sullivan, Tripmastaz, Melodie, Harrison BDP, Lee Burton, Sakro, and Teluric. Thanks to this, he has become one of the most important record labels in the underground scene in Mexico.
In his role as a DJ, with over 15 years of experience, he has participated in major events across Baja California and Outside he has performed at various clubs and venues in Mexico, such as Bar Americas, Casa Cobra, Umbral Club, and Bar Santo Tomás (Guadalajara), Casa Morelos, Topaz, Grey Bar, and Akbal Lounge (Monterrey), Diente de León, Dynamitas Bar, and Minimal Club (Cholula), Azotea 20 Doce and Jaguar House (Mérida), Funk Club, Capricho/Whim, AM Local, Japan Club, Terraza Catedral, Hookah Satélite, Hookah Lounge, Cielito Social (CDMX), La Corriente and Café Pacífico (Mazatlán), La Mezcalería (Ajijic), Nana Rooftop, Damajuana, and Movida Bar (Tulum), Hostel 3B and Da Rumm (Playa del Carmen), Rhodesia Histórico (Querétaro), Casa Playa (Campeche), Insomnia (Hermosillo), and has played for various promoters in cities like Toluca and Tampico. He has also participated in the last two Once events by Capricho in Tepoztlán.
His recent tours in Europe in early 2019 and mid-2021 gave him the opportunity to play at places like Control Club (Bucharest), A38 Boat, 360 Bar, Edith Bar & Rts.Fm (Budapest), Radio Nachtlab (Amsterdam), and Mad Radio (Barcelona). He also performed at Moom 57 (La Coruña) and Aibben Social Club (Barcelona) in 2014.
In early 2024, Dieru joined the important lineup of the Trotamundo Festival at its inaugural edition in Montañita, Ecuador, which undoubtedly supports his work over the years.
In the United States, he has had the opportunity to perform at Phonobar and The Great Northern (San Francisco), Gramaphone Records and Arbella Bar (Chicago, Illinois), Cordova Bar, A.C Lounge & Queensborough (San Diego, California), The Kraken Lounge (Brownsville, Texas), Roof 324 Terrace (McAllen, Texas), Monarch Rio Grande (El Paso, Texas), Sunday Sessions, The Globe Theater, and at “You Know What Party” (Los Angeles).
He has shared the stage for openings or closings with artists like Francesco Del Garda, Shonky, John Dimas, Dana Ruh, Varhat, Melodie, Maher Daniel, Dorian Paic, Monika Ross, Nitin, Randall M, David Gtronic, Chad Andrew, Javier Carballo, Janeret, Halo Varga, Coriesu, Sakro, Suolo, Venda, among others.
Without a doubt, he is an underground artist in Mexico who is beginning to stand out and will have much to surprise us with in the coming years.
