Luis Mendez, Sonotherapist and Master Didgeridoo Maker /Player, will lead this event
Experience the mesmerizing tones of the didgeridoo, an ancient Aboriginal instrument known for its ability to facilitate a deep primal state and healing. Luis’s expertise and artistry will create a soundscape that harmonizes your energy with the Earth’s frequencies.
Luis has a deep reverence for the didgeridoo as a Medicine instrument, for both the player and listener. As a sono-therapist, Luis works with vibration and sound waves to promote healing through an audial experience.
While simultaneously playing his handcrafted didgeridoo, Luis will include indigenous sounds from multiple Mexican and pre-Hispanic instruments, creating a symphony to ground you deeply into the harmonic resonance of Pachamama.
Event Schedule
Please arrive between 6:15 and 6:30 PM. The event will begin promptly at 6:30 and doors will close with entry no longer permitted to maintain the integrity of the space.

This event will be held in an event space located next door to Ebb & Float - Downtown. Look for the courtyard with a tree beside our building and follow the ramp up to the double doors. We will be there to greet you.

Practitioner Bio | Meet Your Facilitator
Luis Mendez arrives to Columbus from Mexico to take part in the Latino Arts for Humanity “Tierra y Vida”, Earth and Life event. Luis takes honor in sharing his Mexican essence and culture as he believes Mexico is the heart of the new planetary awakening where all cultures of the world converge in alliance, birthing the prophecy of the Condor, the Quetzal and the Eagle.
Luis has 28 years of experience as a didgeridoo performer and is an independent researcher in ethnomusicology, specializing in Mayan trumpets and their relationship to the Australian didgeridoo. He has performed in numerous public and private events, ranging from schools, universities, archaeological zones, festivals and holistic venters. Luis has traveled to share his music and instruments in several European countries, across Central American and the US.
In addition to performing, Luis crafts handmade didgeridoos from termite eaten trees found in the jungle, repurposing them into deeply healing instruments.
