About this Event
The New York Democratic Lawyers Council (NYDLC) and Assemblymember Latrice Walker invite you to a FREE* workshop discussing voter protection outcomes in 2024, threats we face in 2025, and what we can do to better coordinate, at the 54th Annual Black Latino Hispanic & Asian Legislative Conference in Albany. Our expert panel will review issues identified by NYDLC's voter protection efforts in New York, examine specific measures that will help us defend our civil and voting rights, including the census, and how communities can better coordinate to resist the attacks and inspire our volunteer base leading into 2025 and 2026.
This course is a one (1) hour program offering 1 NYS professional practice CLE Credit to attorneys who attend and is appropriate for newly-admitted and experienced attorneys. Non-attorneys and those not seeking credit are also welcome and encouraged to attend!
In hopes that this vital discussion reaches a broad audience, and in recognition of current times, this CLE is FREE to everyone who attends in person. Voluntary contributions are welcome and appreciated.
*NOTE: a separate $25 conference registration fee may be required to access conference events and additional workshops. Conference ticket and package options are available here.
Newly admitted attorneys may receive credit for this CLE pursuant to the attached requirements provided the New York State CLE Board. Please note that newly admitted attorneys based in law offices outside of the United States may fulfill up to 16 credit hours in any approved format. The remaining credit hours must be completed in a format permissible for the category of credit. Further, newly admitted attorneys eligible for a prorated CLE requirement must complete the credit in a format permissible for the category of credit, except that no more than 14 credits may be earned through nonparticipatory formats, such as on-demand audio or video, or live broadcast.
