Dickon Edwards: On Diaries

Dickon Edwards speaks on the topic of diaries and reads from his own. His friends will also read from the historic diaries of others.
About this Event

Dickon Edwards has one of the longest-running Internet diaries in the world, recently published in book form as Diary at the Centre of the Earth Vol 1: 1997-2007 (P&H Books). The diary takes us to London clubs and gigs and vanished venues from the bloated hubris of fading 90s Britpop to the spiky chaos of spilt-paint Noughties hipsters. Join us as Dickon reads from his book and offers insights into the historic diaries of others including Samuel Pepys, Derek Jarman, and Virginia Woolf. The event is hosted by cultural historian Travis Elborough, with readings from Victoria Redfern and Robert Wringham.
