Join us for a night of music and memory as we take a tour through South Carolina's musical past. Dr. Dick and Winifred Goodwin will perform select jazz pieces from throughout South Carolina's musical history. Between songs the Goodwins will elaborate on the history and specialty of music from throughout the state. Dr. Goodwin works in virtually every idiom from jingle to opera, jazz band to orchestra, have been performed across the US and abroad. He leads the Dick Goodwin Big Band and the Dick Goodwin Quintet (which has made a dozen foreign concert tours) and has written and produced many film scores, commercials, and albums.
Dick’s wife, Winifred, has served as staff pianist for the USC School of Music and is the principal keyboardist with the SC Philharmonic.
