Dice-roll textile techniques game .
About this Event
This fun workshop is led by Christine Solly, an experienced textile and embroidery tutor.
She introduces us to 'Maria's Game' where the chance throw of a dice dictates what colour, texture, stitch and style you work with at each stage of the journey to create an original piece of textile art.
Suitable for both experienced and beginner textile artists and embroiderers.
Materials and kit:
Assorted lightweight fabrics for applique techniques
A selection of threads and yarns
Needles of various sizes to accomodate your thread sizes
Scissors
Pins
Dressmaking thread/tacking thread.
Please note: This not a 'professional' zoom workshop - we are sharing our live, real-time workshop with zoom attendees and will be giving focussed time to guide all participants in the creation of textile pieces, please be aware that we are a lively group of textile enthusiasts so will be interacting with zoom attendees and stitching and chatting will be going on in the background!
