About this Event
Thank you for your interest in the official launch of Diary of an Obsession, a book that celebrates Colins 62 years of supporting Ipswich Town.
We are pleased to say the official launch is in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite, Portman Road, where you can meet Colin, and hear what motivated him to write the book, hear from other supporters and players of Ipswich, get your copy signed and most importantly raise money for the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research.
Hosted by Talking Towns Martin "The Guv" Lambert, Richard "The Cruncher" Moss and Matt "The Media Mogule" Phillips, the evening will be an opportunity to meet Colin, some Ipswich Town legends such as Jason Dozzell and Kevin Wilson as well as many other Town fans.
The Talking Town podcast was started by Martin Lambert in June 2020 as a way of not only keeping Ipswich fans connected during lockdown but giving them a voice and a platform on all things at Portman Road.
Martin recruited Rich Moss and Matt Phillips as his regular Talking Town contributors and the show has blossomed from just a handful of viewers through to over 8000 for their interview with Mark Ashton. Twice a finalist at the Football Content Awards, Talking Town was the first Ipswich fan platform to feature the new American owners and a current squad member in Conor Chaplin.
Club legends that Colin has written about in his book have been on Talking Town, from Martijn Reuser and Fabian Wilnis to Marcus Stewart, Jason De Vos, Frank Yallop and Craig Forrest.
Subscribe to the show by searching Talking Town ITFC on YouTube and your go to podcast provider.
You will be able to purchase a book at the event, as well as donate to the charities the book is raising funds for which are the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us in making this happen.
