Our SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Awards) winning album, What She Needs, began as a blues/jazz recording project that gave me the opportunity to work with some of the players my husband and I had come to know and love through the awesome blues jams we attended in the Syracuse area over several years. Irv Lyons Jr. and I started the project by writing a song together, and then we jumped into the studio with Edgar Pagan, Richie Melito, and Nate Felty who was in town from Nashville at the time. We recorded three tunes at More Sound Studios. It was magic. I know that sounds silly, but that was how it felt for me. Something happened that was really beautiful and What She Needs was born as much by happenstance as by design. Other dear friends and musicians like Morris Tarbell of Morris Tarbell & The Hepcats were willing to join in as I added songs while the rhythm section (Edgar Pagan and Nate Felty) remained constant throughout the album. When the album was finished, we knew we had to share this music in a live show format, but you will not see this band in clubs. We play theaters and festivals only, and with our extraordinary drummer based in Nashville, these shows are rare. This is one you won't want to miss! The line-up for this show will include Edgar Pagan (bass), Nate Felty (drums), Morris Tarbell (guitar), Chris Bauso (guitar), and Ben Shearer (keys). Everyone attending will receive a copy of What She Needs. We are also very pleased to have the lovely and talented Cait Devin performing an opening set for us. Show starts at 7 pm.
