About this Event
Artist and designer Frank Dallas (Programs Assistant, National Academy of Design) will lead participants in a collaborative exercise to make a zine based on the works on view in Past as Prologue: A Historical Acknowledgment. Images from both Part I and II of the exhibition will be provided along with text generated by tools such as the Botnik text generator, Chat GPT, or other generative tools learning from the Past as Prologue: A Historical Acknowledgement Part I and Part II bibliography. Participants will create new dialogues and recontextualize the pieces with generated text, using each piece’s history to understand their complex relationships across time. After creating their zine spreads, the group will combine their efforts to collaboratively design the final zine.
RESERVATIONS: Admission is free but reservations are required.
ACCESSIBILITY: This venue is fully accessible to wheelchairs. To request a free ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation or CART (Communication Access Real-Time Translation) captioning service, email your request at least three weeks in advance of the event to [email protected].
