The Launch of Our Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program
Join us for an exciting evening as Carlington Community Health Centre officially launches its Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program — a groundbreaking initiative designed to improve access since early detection saves sight. This program is designed to reach those who need it most, removing barriers and bringing quality eye care closer to home.
Diabetic retinopathy is one of the most common complications of diabetes and one of the most preventable. Yet many Canadians living with diabetes, are not getting the annual retinal screenings they need.
During the event we'll be unveiling a new AI-powered diabetic retinopathy screening program and we'll hear about the scale of the problem, the gaps in screening that exist across Canada, and how cutting-edge AI technology is stepping in to close them. We'll also learn about a powerful new partnership that's making this program possible on the ground.

Ce programme est conçu pour atteindre ceux qui en ont le plus besoin, en rapprochant des soins ophtalmologiques de qualité de leur lieu de vie.
La rétinopathie diabétique est l'une des complications les plus courantes du diabète, mais aussi l'une des plus évitables. Pourtant, de nombreux Canadiens atteints de diabète ne bénéficient pas des dépistages rétiniens annuels dont ils ont besoin.
Au cours de cet événement, nous dévoilerons le nouveau programme de dépistage de la rétinopathie diabétique basé sur l'IA et nous découvrirons l'ampleur du problème, les lacunes existantes en matière de dépistage à travers le Canada, et comment une technologie d'IA de pointe intervient pour les combler. Nous découvrirons également un nouveau partenariat solide qui rend ce programme possible sur le terrain.
