Welcome to our Diabetes & Tech event! Join us on Thurrsday November 21st from 7pm at Norfolk Chambers or online as we explore how technology is making a difference to life with diabetes.
This evening will be all about showcasing the latest innovations in tech that are helping people manage their diabetes more effectively. Whether you've got diabetes, caregiver, healthcare professional, and/or tech enthusiast, this is for you! Find out more about the exciting ways that tech is changing the landscape of diabetes care and who it is benefiting. See you there!
This will be informative and helpful, heaaring from an excellent guest expert; Dr Jackie Elliott! Dr Elliott is Sheffield Diabetes Team's Clinical Lead and has been the Tech Lead for several years. She will be able to explain the discuss the differences that the use of diabetes tech is making to people's lives, as well as how it's helping doctors and other health professionals help us!
She'll explain the different examples of tech available, from smart insulin pens, wearable blood sugar monitors used by people with Type 1 and many with Type 2, insulin pumps, and the latest 'artificial pancreas' devices.
We'll have lots of information available, and like all our expert presenters, Jackie will be pleased to answer as many questions as possible!
