Sugar Land Honors Hispanic Heritage & Dia de los MuertosA Celebration of Culture and Education
This year marks the 126th anniversary of Hispanic Heritage in Sugar Land. The Sugar Land Heritage Museum is pleased to honor this landmark in Sugar Land history with a Dia de los Muertos exhibit from October 16 – November 2, 2025. The exhibit will comprise a display of altars created by local families to commemorate their beloved ancestors who lived in Sugar Land and contributed to its development. The exhibition will also have an afternoon event on Saturday, October 25th at “Sugar Land Town Square” which will include live music, entertainment, children’s activities, costume contest, and historical-cultural presentations.
The City of Sugar Land and the Sugar Land Heritage Foundation are donating time and materials to facilitate this exciting exhibit. Public donations are required to make it a real success. Through generous support from businesses, foundations and the community, the Sugar Land Heritage Foundation can continue its partnership with educational organizations and institutions to foster cultural awareness and embrace diversity.
We are looking for Sponsors to help with the cost of the event.
