Dhemo (pronounced “demo”) is a Richmond VA based artist who’s sound drifts between dream-like indie ballads to upbeat funk influenced bops. It’s an indie rock project that expands seamlessly through jazz and psychedelic sounds. Overtop a tightly dynamic live band, the music connects with listeners through both emotional vocal melodies and vulnerable lyricism.

jAndr

Sometimes we all want to be somewhere else. Life is a journey, and when you’re unsure of the destination, you simply say “I’m going over yonder”. This is the philosophy that guides the music of jAndr, a family of musicians and artists from central and Eastern North Carolina. jAndr_music is the brainchild of bassist Matt Grady and keyboardist Santel Reid. A sonic brand created to connect some of the finest musical humans with one another and with projects that will move everyone forward in their journey.

Grady and Reid formed the band in early 2022, after deciding to pursue a more mellow and artistic approach to the R&B sound of their previous group; The Sunday Special. Within the first year that jAndr has been together, they’ve already made a name for themselves in the thriving Raleigh-Durham underground R&B/Hip Hop scene. In October 2022, jAndr released their debut single, "More Than Friends" an uber-funky ode to budding romance featuring the incredible voice of Shavona Antoinette and a verse by YessatheFloet, both frequent collaborators with the band. They've performed at some of the hottest and most eclectic festivals in NC including Shakori Hills and We the Roses while also collaborating with such notable artists as Aarik Duncan of NiiTO, Donnie Deneil from Duck, and internationally known MC Tanajah.

CJ Monet

Based in Durham, NC, CJ Monét is an artist with a versatile approach, seamlessly intertwining words, music, and art into her creative expressions. Grounded in art theory, art history, and neuroscience, Monét's work transcends traditional boundaries, progressing from conventional painting and drawing to distinctive portraits crafted entirely from words. A graduate in neuroscience and art history, Monét's venture into studio art was a fortuitous blend of chance and intention. Her commitment to meaningful art led her to a dedicated space in Durham, shaping her creative process and inspiring exploration into new dimensions.

In addition to her visual art, Monét explores a separate realm as an R&B musician, adding another layer to her artistic repertoire. Her music, much like her visual creations, contributes to the overall immersive experience of her work, becoming an integral part of the narrative. For Monét, art is a medium to honor moments, whether abstractly expressing emotions on canvas, crafting portraits with words, or weaving musical notes into her artistic tapestry. Her unconventional approach, fueled by inspiration from fellow artists, propels her continuous growth as a multi-disciplinary creative force.
