Join us for a very special evening as Delaware Highlands Assisted Living (DHAL) celebrates our 20th Anniversary serving residents, families, and the greater Kansas City, Kansas community.

For two decades, DHAL has been much more than an assisted living community. We have been home to generations of residents, a gathering place for families and friends, and an important part of the Wyandotte County community.

We invite our residents, their families and friends, community leaders, partners, and neighbors to join us in celebrating this extraordinary milestone.

All are welcome.

An Evening of Celebration

The Gala begins at 5:00 PM with an elegant fine-dining experience accompanied with champagne, followed by a distinguished program of guest speakers celebrating DHAL's history, its residents, its people, and its impact on the community.

The evening will culminate in a special 20th Anniversary Awards Ceremony, recognizing individuals who have and continue to help make DHAL the community it is today.

This is a Gala, and guests are welcome to dress for the occasion in formal or black-tie attire, but there is absolutely no required dress code. Cocktail attire, business attire, or casual dress are equally welcome. What matters most is having our community together for this celebration.

A Remarkable History

The story of DHAL began more than 25 years ago, when Community Housing Investment Group of Wyandotte County, Kansas Housing Resources Corporation, private investors, and the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Kansas joined forces around an ambitious idea to create a high-quality assisted living community that would also remain financially accessible to people of different income levels.

That vision ultimately became Delaware Highlands Assisted Living when we opened our doors September 20, 2006.

Today, DHAL is a 121-unit assisted living community and remains one of the only major income-based assisted living communities of its kind in the country. Twenty years after opening our doors, the principles behind DHAL's creation remain central to our mission: quality, dignity, community, and access.

Tickets & RSVP

Admission is FREE, but advance RSVP is required for anyone attending in-person.

Please reserve tickets for every member of your party so that we can properly prepare seating and dinner service for all of our guests.

Join Us From Anywhere

Extended family members and friends who cannot attend in person are invited to participate remotely through our live Zoom teleconference, no RSVP required.

Visit on the evening of the Gala and join using the Zoom application or your web browser.

Parking

Complimentary parking is available in the north parking lot behind the DHAL facility.

Additional overflow parking is available along Delaware Parkway, if necesary.
