About this Event
Register today for our fifth annual Equity Forum, where we will explore advancing economic equity in the future of work to ensure Detroiters have equitable access to quality employment
As the landscape of work evolves and the importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) becomes increasingly recognized in America, this event will address key strategies and initiatives to support equitable employment. Join DFC on October 23rd at 9:30am for this year's Equity Forum where we will explore advancing economic equity in the future of work to ensure Detroiters have equitable access to quality employment opportunities both today and in the future. Together, we’ll explore innovative approaches to bridge gaps, foster inclusivity, and create sustainable pathways for all Detroiters to thrive in a changing world.
We are excited to welcome one of today's most influential voices on race, politics, and social justice - Dr. Jelani Cobb, Dean of Columbia University Journalism School - as our keynote speaker. Event details are still being developed! Stay tuned for a future announcement of our local reaction panel of experts!
We are also excited to host an intimate, pre-event reception the night before our annual Equity Forum. This ticketed event will take place on October 22nd at 5:30PM. During this reception, we aim to celebrate DFC’s work to advance equitable employment initiatives to grow household income and wealth for Black Detroiters and other Detroiters of color.
