Join us for a performance of Devoted Service at the Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park. Recipient of a National Trust Heritage Award in the Education and Interpretation category, 2024 is the last chance for the public to see this piece of Great War verbatim theatre.

Discover the incredible true stories of women who served as nurses and matrons during the Great War. In a moving live performance, you will hear words from the personal accounts of four New South Wales women brought to life by an actor. From the Gallipoli landing to the sinking of HMHS Gloucester Castle, you will be captivated by their extraordinary letters and diaries.

This program also includes a short film featuring poetry written by convalescing soldiers, a tour of the Anzac Memorial, and an opportunity to explore the nurses’ personal objects on display in our Centenary Exhibition.
