About this Event

The Researcher Development Academy’s EMCR Intensives offer an extended opportunity to learn, connect, and reflect on your research with peers at Deakin University. The Intensives are ideal for those who are seeking practical ways to develop leadership capacity and broader university and research sector knowledge.

This in-person June 2026 Intensive focuses on "Developing interdisciplinary research". The program will be a mix of talks, panels, workshops, and opportunities for researchers from across Deakin to connect in person. Topics for the intensive include why interdisciplinary research is more crucial now, effective approaches to interdisciplinary work, and developing a network to enhance interdisciplinary opportunities. Browse the draft program.

We design researcher intensives to inform, support, and develop Deakin researchers, equipping them with practical knowledge, examples, and approaches to enhance their practices.

This event is a collaboration between the Researcher Development Academy (RDA) and the Science Society Network (SSN).

*Please note: The EMCR Intensive is for Deakin academic staff only. It is not suitable for graduate researchers.
