About this Event

University of South Wales is continuing its commitment to enabling greater numbers of women in South Wales to become their own bosses.

For the past 3 years we have run dedicated entrepreneurship development programmes, open to women across South Wales, to help them startup their new business idea.

The initiative has been funded by NatWest and has already resulted in over 55 new businesses.

To celebrate the success of the 3rd year of the programme we are running a celebration showcase event on Thursday 9th May at our USW Newport campus.

The Developing Entrepreneurial Women programme is delivered by Startup Stiwdio to help any women and non-binary people in the Cardiff Capital Region to overcome barriers and forge ahead in the startup landscape.

(Details of the programme are here)

To showcase this years' cohort, celebrate their successes and shine a light on inspirational examples of female entrepreneurship in the region we are inviting you to attend our day of celebration for women’s entrepreneurship.

· Caroline Thompson, Regional Enterprise Director, NatWest
