Workshop Overview
Do you find it challenging to create memorable, life-like characters? Characters are the lifeblood of great stories and are ultimately what readers come to stories for.
This 3-hour workshop with award-winning author A. R. Levett guides you through how to create believable characters readers will fall in love with by:
• Understanding the concept of a story web
• Identifying the function of each character in the story
• Giving each character internal flaws
• Locating each character’s goal
• Establishing a set of values for each character
• Assigning each character power, status, and abilities
• Determining their thematic stance
Workshop Outcome: Develop a character web in which each of the characters is an individual and has their own depth.
Suitable for: Beginner, intermediate, and advanced storytellers who have characters they want to flesh out and better understand.
